About Us
Mike & I met in February, 2004 in Grand Cayman. In a twist of fate, we were both on the same cruise aboard the Carnival Sensation. I was on the cruise with my family, while Mike was offered a spot by his friend Jarred. The photo at left is from the night we first met. Throughout the remainder of the cruise, we got to know each other.
When we returned to New York City (Gail) and Pennsylvania (Mike), I was surprised when Mike actually called me! And very glad, needless to say!! We started dating; he would visit me in NYC and I would visit him in PA.
By August of that same year we had moved to the Sunshine State, settling in the Tampa-Clearwater area. Just in time for the record hurricane season: Charley, Katrina, plus a few others. Luckily, all the storms managed to pass us by!
We have lived in Florida since, adding a couple of cats and fish tanks to our life. We regularly enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, internetting, and going to art shows and other cultural events.
After returning together to the Poconos in the summer of 2009 for Mike’s father’s 70th birthday, we were engaged. See more on the Engaged! tab.
